Survival Guide

Hunt monsters to level up, collect equipment, defeat competitors, and become the last one standing.

1. Getting Ready for Battle

After joining the battlefield with your selected character, you are sent to the town to wait until the minimum number of players have joined. Here, the hunters get ready to survive in the battlefield.

  • Learn Skill [K]

    • You receive 1 skill point upon entering the battlefield.

    • You can learn one of the three available skills by spending the point.

    • Afterwards, you can learn more skills by spending additional skill points you acquire through hunting and other activities.

    • Some of the skills can only be learned when you meet a specific condition (Skill 4: reach level 10/Ultimate (skill 5): reach level 20).

  • Unlock Ability [G]

    • You receive 1 ability point upon entering the battlefield.

    • You can unlock a skill of your choice by spending the ability point.

    • Afterwards, you can upgrade it further by spending additional ability points you acquire through hunting and other activities.

  • Use Shop

    • Hunters receive some Gold upon entering the battlefield.

    • Hunters can purchase [Equipment] from the Shop to boost their total combat power with Gold.

    • They can also purchase a [Horse] from a Horse Merchant to boost their mobility.

    • Use a [Glider], a cheap but the fastest and safest transport, to instantly travel long distances.Glider Merchants become available after the gate is opened.

  • Communications

    • In Survival Trio mode, players can communicate with their teammates using several methods.

    • Enable your microphone and discuss team strategies on [Voice Chat].

    • Or you can communicate with teammates via [Ping Messages].

  • Resurrection

    • In Survival Trio mode, players can resurrect incapacitated teammates by pressing the [F] key.

    • When an incapacitated teammate dies, a [Revival Orb] is created, and players can retrieve the orb just by touching it. Bring it to one of the [Resurrection Altars] scattered throughout the battlefield to resurrect the dead teammate.

    • To save time, you can quickly resurrect dead teammates through a [Resurrection master] by spending some Gold.

2. Begin Battle

30 seconds after the minimum number of participants enter the game, the gate opens. When the gate opens, hunters move to a strategic location and wait for the game to start. Battle begins 1 minute after the gate opens.

  • Select Path

    • When the battle begins, hunters start leveling up near the place they chose.

    • Dungeons offer a bigger reward for a bigger risk.

    • Or you can move to a remote place in the battlefield and level up rather safely, but slowly.

  • Character Growth I

    • In Hunter’s Arena: Legends, you can level up your hunter in several ways.

    • Level up by defeating monsters or open treasure chests to collect Gold and items.

    • Defeat the boss monsters that appear in dungeons to obtain special items such as Random/Fixed Option Scrolls.

  • Random/Fixed Option Scroll

    • You can acquire a Random Option Scroll/Fixed Option Scroll by defeating a boss monster or opening a legendary treasure chest.

    • You can enhance the elements of weapons and armors by using Random/Fixed Option Scrolls (3 scrolls per item).

    • The element of the potential ability is randomly imbued, and the ability of each element is as follows:

    • Fire: Inflicts additional damage when the player hits the enemy a certain number of times.

    • Ice: Decreases weapon defense/attack power when the player hits the enemy a certain number of times.

    • Desert: Decreases skill defense/attack power when the player hits the enemy a certain number of times.

    • Forest: Steals HP upon damage dealt against the enemy

  • Character Growth II

    • You acquire [Kill Buff] and [Pure Power Crystal] when you defeat another Hunter.

    • Kill Buff gives you the upper hand in combat by significantly increasing attack power.

    • Pure Power Crystals can be exchanged for powerful equipment via Advanced Equipment Merchants.

  • Environmental Objects

    • There are a number of different environmental objects in Hunter’s Arena: Legends.

    • [Blood Barriers] are generated in random places in the battlefield and their area of effect enlarges over time. Players in the barrier take continuous damage.

    • [Realm of Anarchy Invasions] are spawned in random places in the battlefield and their area of effect shrinks over time. When inside, players receive a variety of buffs, and exclusive monsters and boss monsters are summoned to accelerate hunters’ growth.

3. Growth and Victory

As time passes, more features become available that help the hunters grow and achieve victory.

  • Night

    • Darkness falls in the battlefield 5 minutes after the battle starts.

    • At night, the eyes of monsters glow red and they become stronger.

    • There are also special NPCs that attack hunters at night.

  • Phantom Hunter

    • A Phantom Hunter appears and attacks players at night.

    • A Phantom Hunter shares the same appearance as a hunter, but their eyes glow in a special color. You can acquire [Kill Buff] and [Pure Power Crystal] when you defeat it.

  • Changes to Guards

    • The village changes at night as well.

    • Some of the guards at the village disappear at night. Stay alert when you are in the village at this time.

  • Unlocking New Skills

    • At level 20, a hunter can unlock an [Ultimate] through the [Skill Instructor] located in the village or in the battlefield.

    • Use a [Glider Summoning Stone] to quickly and safely move to a [Skill Instructor].

  • Enhance & Dismantle

    • You can enhance your equipment via an [Equipment Enhancer] located in the village or throughout the battlefield. You need [Power Crystals] to enhance equipment.

    • You can obtain Power Crystals by [Dismantling] or [Mass Dismantling] the items acquired by defeating monsters or opening treasure chests.

  • Merchant Odong

    • While leveling up and fighting others, you may encounter a special merchant.

    • [Merchant Odong] appears when the second sun rises and offers special equipment at a special price.

  • Utilize Items

    • [General Merchants], who appear in the village and many places of the battlefield, offer a variety of items that help you to survive.

    • Use Gold to purchase items and utilize them in combat.

  • Potions by Grade

    • In Hunter’s Arena: Legends, there are healing items in a variety of grades and effects.

    • The more expensive the potion, the more HP it restores.

    • When you purchase a potion, you must purchase a potion replenisher as well.

  • Other Items

    • Other items sold by the General Merchant are as follows:


    • Max stamina Potion: Fully restores Stamina.

    • Bomb: Explodes and deals great damage to enemies.

    • Flare: Explodes after hitting an enemy, blinding them for a short period of time.

    • Smoke Bomb: Explodes and creates a smoke screen for a short period of time.

    • Trap: Once set, temporarily immobilizes any enemy that triggers it.

    • Horse Trap: Once set, instantly kills any horse that triggers it.

    • Telescope: Shows the total combat power and HP of an enemy.

    • Aggro Bomb: A bomb that makes monsters in the area attack your enemy.

    • Saddle: Use it on a wild horse to tame it.

4. Barrier Mechanics

  • Barrier

    • Once the battle begins, the [Barrier] shrinks over time.

    • Hunters can see the range and current location of the barrier by opening the map (M, Tab).

    • The barrier inflicts more damage over time, and its speed increases according to the number of current survivors.

    ※ The approximate location of the barrier can be seen via the Barrier UI at the top of the minimap.

  • Barrier Mechanics

    • You can play steadily by locating and moving to safe zones, but doing so increases the chance of encountering other players.

    • Although a little risky, moving along the edge of the barrier reduces your chance to encounter other players. Be careful though, as you may become trapped between impassible landforms and die!

    • Check the range and current location of the barrier frequently to find the optimal route.
